PART 2 - Getting Traffic to Your Blog
Posting Your Blogs to the Internet
We are now going to show you how to post your blogs to the Internet through search engines, and other methods. This will create a free traffic of readers to your Web Blog. Once you get indexed to the search engines they will continue to move up in the page rankings as long as you continue to keep adding posts and content to your blogs as we have shown you in Part 1. The more traffic you receive, the more money you will make. We are going to teach you what Web masters have been doing for years to get their Web sites/blogs ranked on these major search engines at no additional costs. We are going to show you six methods of getting your blogs to the Internet and search engines. We will guide you through how to use each of these methods.
The Importance of Using Part 2
We would like to explain why this Part 2 is important to your blogs success. When it comes to the search engines and getting indexed and ranked on the first pages, the search engines use three primary factors to rank your blogs which are:
1.) Content: We have covered the content and updating with posts in Part 1.
2.) Links: In this Part 2 we are going to show you how to make your blogs more popular to search engines, and creating links from other sites to your blogs with ease.
3.) Traffic: Search engines use what is called Alexa ranking to determine how many hits (visitors) come to your site. We will show you a method that will get you instant traffic to get you a better ranking quickly with Alexa.
So you see now that this Part 2 will be very important to your blogs success.
Your Blog Name URL Address
To use all of these methods we will show you, you will need to know how to get your Blog Name URL to post to these methods.
The Blog Name URL will we your complete Blog web address.
When you preview your blog in Blogger.com take a look at the web address in the browser bar. Your Blog Name URL will look like this:
http://yourblogname.blogspot.com
(the "yourblogname" will be replaced by your blog name you created)

1. Submitting Your Blogs to Search Engines

You will need to post your blogs to search engines in order to get indexed in the search engine directories. You only need to post each new your blog once to these methods. The only time you will need to re-post to these methods if after one month you do not find your blog(s) indexed on the search engines.
Submitting to Smaller Search Engines
1) To post your blogs to several search engines CLICK HERE
2) Where it asks for "Website URL" enter your blog URL address
3) Enter your e-mail address
4) Leave all checked EXCEPT GOOGLE (we will have you submit a different way to Google)
5) Next click "Submit Your Site"
6) Hostned will evaluate your site and post to the search engines. Wait until the screen is done loading. If some sites show an error that is okay.
7) Check your e-mail after posting to confirm your submission. Disregard any options that are suggested to upgrades etc. that cost money that Hostned may suggest.
Submitting to Three Major Search Engines (Google, Yahoo, and MSN Live!)
Submitting your Blog to GOOGLE
The most popular search engine is GOOGLE and is absolutely free to post your blog to. The best way to get listed into GOOGLE's search directory is to use GOOGLE web master tool. We will walk you through each step to assure you do this correctly.
1) Go to the GOOGLE web master tool site HERE
2) Log into GOOGLE Web master tools using the same username (e-mail) and password you use for your Blogger.com account.
(If you have a problem signing in to Google with your Blogger.com account login, then you can set up one for free at the following site HERE.)
3) After you are logged in you will see the following: Click Here to add your site" - You will enter your blog URL address in that box.
4) After you have entered your blog URL address, click "ADD SITE" button.
5) You will then select "Next Step - Verify your Site"
6) On the next page; You will then "Choose Verification Method" from drop down menu. Choose "Add a META tag" and you will have a meta tag drop down on to the screen.
The meta tag will look like this:

Leave this GOOGLE page open
7) Next go to your Blogger.com account and click on "LAYOUT" of your blog
8) Next you will click on the "Edit HTML"
9) Now copy and paste the GOOGLE verification code into your template HTML directly below your previously entered meta tags as show here:
10) After you have pasted the complete GOOGLE verification code between the end of your previous meta tags and the "<b:skin><
You will not need to enter anything to the "Submit Site Feed" as we will show you how to do that in method #3
You have now submitted to Yahoo Search Engine.
Submitting your Blog to MSN LIVE!
To submit to MSN Live! search is a very simple process.
1) Go to the MSN Live Search Submission page HERE
2) Add your blog URL address to the box that says "Type the URL of your homepage"
3) Put the security characters in as shown on page, click "Submit URL" and you are done.
You are now on MSN Live! Search
You have now submitted your blog to several search engines, including the major three. What happens from here is that your blog will get picked up by several hundred smaller search engines that feed off these major search engines which in return will get you more exposure which means more traffic to your blog.
2. Adding RSS Feeds to get Internet Exposure

To get exposure on your blog you will want to use RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds to gain exposure on the internet. Using RSS feeds will also help keep updated content on your blog as well. To add your blog to RSS feeds is very simple with the process we are going to show you.
1) To post your blog to RSS feeds CLICK HERE
2) In the box displayed on the Feed Burner page you are going to submit your blog URL address followed by the following: "feeds/posts/full." The complete blog URL address you will submit will be
http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/full
(Replace yourblogname with YOUR blog name)
Here is what the complete blog url address will look like:
3) After you place your blog URL address in the box show above followed by the /feeds/posts/full click "NEXT" (you DO NOT need to check the box labeled "I am a podcaster!")
4) On the next screen you will fill out the new account information at the bottom of the screen. After you submit your information for the new account click "NEXT"
5) Keep clicking "NEXT" past the upgrade screens until you get to the main Feed Burner account page.
You are now done submitting your blog to RSS Feed Burner.
3. Ping Your Blog for Web Announcements

Pinging your blogs will allow you blog to be announced to certain blogging directories. The importance of getting on blog directories is that many search engines will check these directories to see if you are listed, and what content updates you have done. This is a great way to tell the search engines you are making content updates to your blogs by making additional posts.
This is a very simple process that should be done one a month to each of your blogs. Here are the simple steps to ping your blog.
Pinging Your Blog
1) Go to Ping-O-Matic's Web site HERE
2) Enter a short subject title of your blog.
3) Enter your blog URL address in the next box "BLOG HOME PAGE"
4) Enter your RSS Blog URL address in the next box "RSS URL"
Remember from the last posting method #2 that your RSS blog Url address looks like this: http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/full
(Replace "yourblogname" with YOUR blog name)
5) Check off ALL the Services To Ping websites
6) Click on "SEND PINGS"
You are now done pinging your blogs.
4. Submit Your Blogs to Free Internet Directories

This is our newest posting method that can do amazing things for your blogs when it comes to getting your blogs indexed and ranked on the major search engines. What you will accomplish by submitting your blogs to Internet Web directories is to create backlinks from to your blogs. The search engines look to how many sites are linked back to your blog, and with the sites we will have you post to will create a nice amount of popular links to your blog, all for FREE!
How often and how many directories to post to.
We suggest trying to post to about twenty to thirty directories per week for each of your blogs. After you have posted to all of these directories, start over and post again. These directories will remove your links after about sixty to ninety days. You can post to about five directories in about ten minutes if you have already have your information ready to post.
How to post to the directories
There are two options you will be presented to post your blogs to these directories:
OPTION #1
With the links we will provide you below, you will have the options to post your blogs by using the special submitting page a shown here:
A) Title: Place a brief title that best describes your blog topic.
B) URL: Here is where you will place your complete blog URL address (make sure to include the http://)
C) Description: You want to write a more of a description of what your blog is about. You can add more details in this description section. Don't get carried away here usually about 30 words will do.
D) Your Name: Add your name here.
E) Your E-Mail: Make sure you place your e-mail accurately due to some of these directories will send a confirmation for you to click that will activate your link to their directory.
F) Category: Choose the category, and sub categories as required that best fits your blogs subject.
After you have filled out the submit page click, "CONTINUE" or "SUBMIT" whichever option is presented. Keep in mind some of these link directories have you do verification codes to verify your submission.
OPTION #2
If the link we provide below does not take you to the page to submit your blog directly, you will have to first select the category you want to submit your link. This is how you will post your blog to these directories:
STEP 1 :
Search for the single best category for your site in the directory.
STEP 2 :
Find the submit button located on Web page which will say something like: "SUGGEST A SITE," "ADD YOUR LINK," "SUBMIT WEBSITE," etc.
STEP 3 :
You will now be on the submit page as shown in option #1. Fill out your blog details as we show you in the example above.
STEP 4 :
After your submission you might receive an e-mail with a confirmation link with SOME of these directories. If a confirmation is required click the confirmation link and your site will be queued for review.
Normally your blog will be reviewed within 2 business days and if accepted it will be visible to the directory immediately after review.
